I took one of the practice exams for the tutorial I worked on earlier; I got more than a passing grade, but also found out there are lots of sections of the tutorial I haven't covered yet.  However, I now have enough backgound to work on a GUI project that I was assigned.  I've got the basic layout done, though I ran into some problems that were new to me.  Have worked around some of them and will solve the others later.  I don't want to get stalled at this point, so I've gone on to work on the code to get the GUI functional.  I'll do what I can with that, then ask for more information on the specs and take it from there.

It is used to web- enable Windows, UNIX, Linux, Mainframe, and AS/400 applications.  Secure Global Desktop uses a three-tier model, in which the Secure Global Desktop server is independent of the clients and the application servers. Users can access Secure Global Desktop from a wide range of client devices across everything from a LAN to a dial-up modem connection. Application servers require little or no configuration to work with Secure Global Desktop.

Didn't work on this all of last week or on Monday of this past week - I used the time to work on final projects and study for final exams.  Wednesday of this week I finished the Threads and Networking modules, so I've completed my work on the tutorial.  Thursday and Friday I went back to researching the errors showing on my laptop for the Wonderland source code.  I think it has something to do with libraries I'm missing, but I haven't solved the problem yet.  Am finding some good resources online though.

Is your browser ready for HTML5? In order for Apple's plans to stomp out flash to succeed, HTML5 and CSS3 need to be in full working order. You can also track how the browsers have been adding these features for the past 2 years.

Only worked two days this week as the semester ends soon and final projects are coming due.

 

Completed the GUI menubar lab exercises - the ChatClient lab exercise is fully operational - so that entire module is done.  Am now working on threads, and am almost finished with that section.
