This project has been great for both teams. The project wiki has been a good tool and the contributors through the artwork stage have really been doing a great job.
We are now working on deployment. Art tool path complete, (with some pains)but it is complete.
Deployment is vexing and I am sure glad I know a bit about XML and Ant. Will need now to focus on the Java code. We probably need a programming student on this full-time as my schedule remains full.
I am now officially a talking head as I have given about 10 presentations on this material to audiences all over Minnesota and now I am expanding a bit to other areas.
Minnesota High Technology Association Annual Conference
Ridgewater Talk with Graphic Arts Faculty , (I liked that one)
MnECCT - Spring Conference - Talk with customized training people at their annual spring conference. This was in Deerwood, MN at Ruttgers Lodge.
I will be giving a day-long seminar in software quality assurance. This is not quality control and testing and gets rather sophisticated quickly. Pretty sophisticated audience in California. This week M-W.
Programming student - good idea
I definitely favor the idea of a programming student on this one - deployment is something that (at this stage) is extremely complex. Yes, do-able. But probably much faster and more smoothly with someone dedicated to it, rather than trying to layer it onto the many other things you're already doing.
